The Future's Bright. The Future's Green.

"The Chancellor's decision to cut VAT from 17.5% to 5% on energy saving
products for the home is welcomed as part of the Government's plan to
reduce carbon emissions. From June 1st this year, every home sold will
have to have an Energy Performance Certificate (EPC). Each EPC will
have recommendations which could deliver a higher standard of energy
efficiency for the home inspected. Consumers will now pay less to
install these improvements."
"Energy-assessors.com also welcomes the availability of grants to
pensioners of up to £4,000 for the installation of central heating and
insulation. Many pensioners wishing to sell their properties following
the introduction of EPCs in June will now be encouraged to improve
energy efficiency and thus the saleability of their home."
